There is growing concern about the condition and whereabouts of Mastoureh Narimani, a fourth-grade elementary school teacher in Ahvaz, who was arrested during recent nationwide protests in Iran. Narimani was arrested on January 11, 2026, after security forces raided her private residence, searched her home, and confiscated her mobile phone and electronic devices. The young woman was one of members of Scotlands Iranian Diaspora community, who in recent weeks have been calling for support from the United States and Israel for regime change, held a demonstration in Glasgow as hundreds gathered following news of recent attacks on Iran.
