March 21, 2026: ROBERT MUELLER, former FBI director (2001 to 2013) and special counsel who oversaw the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election, has died at the age of 81. Robert Swan Mueller III was an American lawyer who served as the sixth director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. A graduate of Princeton University and New York University, Mueller served as a Marine Corps officer during the Vietnam War, receiving a Bronze Star for heroism and a Purple Heart.
